Hey all,

You may know about Free-Track already but I decided to post about my setup in case you don't, or incase you're just waiting on some more information.

You can find a lot of the info you need at the Free-Track website itself. Skip to the bottom of this post to see my Free-Track setup in action. I use a single LED mounted on my mic. Because I don't care about tipping my head left and right or moving forward and backward this setup works great.

Here are pictures I took during construction:

My circuit drawing. Yes I drew it on the pad that came with Starcraft 2.

You can see the LED and resistor here before soldering.

I will post my videos in a reply to this post.

Oh I forgot to add. To capture the LED movement I used an extra XBOX 360 Webcam that I had on hand.

My questions is this. Do you have to move your head to move the views? Question

The short answer is yes. The Free-Track software has a sensitivity setting that essentially allows you to specify how you would like your head movements to translate. With the sensitivity turned all the way up I can look out the back of the cockpit in game with only a slight movement left or right in real life.

Ok. I thought there is an option in the game to use mouse as snap view. Going to investigate this.
